Tummy Tuck

Our abdomen undergoes dramatic and intense changes due to a few extreme circumstances. Pregnancy being one of the most natural and extreme physical abdominal changes with all the stretching and looseness of the abdominal wall, it’s no wonder such a huge challenge to so many women to get their pre-baby body back. In addition, the drastic weight loss after a pregnancy, naturally or after bariatric surgery the skin becomes loose and not toneable. Another factor can be age. With age we tend to lose the elasticity in our skin which once was easy to tone and sculpt. Any, a few, or all of the reasons mentioned above can be a relatable factor which can have a great impact on our body image.
A tummy tuck surgery allows for excess fat and skin to be removed, the abdominal wall muscles to be tightened.
During the operation, it is possible to combine different procedures such as corrections from previous surgeries and even umbilical hernias can be treated if discovered during.

About the Procedure

The goal of a tummy tuck is to sharpen contours and create a result that diet and exercise fail to produce by sculpting the stomach to a completely natural appearance using the latest methods combined with my extensive experience.
After surgery, you can enjoy a firmer and younger figure, with emphasis on your waist and even going down a size in clothes.
The surgery is mainly performed on women who have gone through pregnancy and childbirth or have undergone bariatric surgery and lost extensive weight. Pregnancy causes the skin to stretch often leaving ‘stretch’ marks. The skin remains loose and the abdomen does not return to being as firm as it used to be.
During surgery, a horizontal incision is made in the lower abdomen. The abdominal muscle envelope is tightened, which serves as an ‘inner corset’ that narrows the abdominal area and waistline. Excess skin tissue and stubborn fat is removed as necessary, the belly button is repositioned to a natural and optimal position.
Liposuction is an integral part of this surgery and is designed to sculpt, tighten and improve the appearance by narrowing and reshaping the waistline. Before the end of the surgery, Pain Buster is inserted to relieve any discomfort, promoting recovery. Drainage tubes are inserted to assist the healing process.
