Breast Augmentation
Every woman desires her ideal breast shape and size. If during normal development your breasts stop developing or your breasts are not symmetrical, undoubtedly you feel disappointed and perhaps feel uncomfortable about exposing your breasts. There is no need to feel this way! You are able to achieve the appearance you desire.
Breast augmentation using implants is the most sought-after plastic surgery in Israel and the world.
During this surgical procedure, I use breast implants give you breasts of the desired size, shape, fullness, and overall appearance, which enhance your perceived body image, and of course affect your mental feeling.

About the Procedure
If you have reached maturity and feel that your breasts are too small, asymmetrical or have lost their volume after births and breastfeeding, which can make you feel uneasy and affects your self-image, I highly recommend breast augmentation surgery.
Breast augmentation with implants is a common cosmetic surgery to change the size, shape, fullness and overall appearance of the breasts. Women report that following surgery, which creates proportional desired curves, gain self-confidence.
Surgery is performed in one of two ways:
- Implantation of silicone implants.
- Self-fat injection.
The purpose of breast augmentation surgery is to re-sculpt breasts that have lost volume after weight loss or after childbirth and breastfeeding, to enlarge small breasts, to create a more rounded structure to the breast or to correct differences in asymmetry between the breasts.
During counselling, we will discuss your intentions and, together we will look at your body structure to tailor the best solution for you.
One of the things that is especially important to me is to adjust the desired size of the breasts to the natural proportions of your body, allowing for a full and voluptuous appearance. We will discuss the type of implant (round or anatomical), implant placement (above or below the muscle), incision location (in the lower breast fold or the areola) and of course the desired implant size. You will receive a detailed explanation of the types of implants and their differences.
For best results you should be close to your ideal weight, before surgery.
The beauty of plastic surgery is the ability to tailor the solution to each person according to his or her unique anatomy and customize the result according to how his or her body is supposed to look. It is important to consider the size of the implant versus the width of the body or abdomen.
In cases where breasts have drooped, a lifting procedure can also be performed during the surgery itself.
Risks and Complications
Complications in breast augmentation surgery are rare, and statistically only 3-4% undergoing this surgery experience complications.
The two most common complications are capsular contracture (tightening of the tissue capsule around an implant) and late-onset seroma (fluid accumulation around the implant). Both complications have remedies, and they are not dangerous. The sutures are usually soluble, so there is no need to remove them.
There are also reports in the literature of rare cases of morbidity associated with silicone implants such as BIA-ALCL and ASIA syndrome. I would like to emphasize that I use the safest implants which have FDA approvals and I operate using the safest techniques available.
It is important to know that current FDA guidelines recommend periodic implant replacement, every 10-15 years. If proper care is taken, the replacement of the implants can be deferred.

A Personal Tip:
As a woman, the breasts greatly affect our sense of femininity and self-confidence.
Breast augmentation is a common and accessible surgery. Do not hesitate to achieve the body image you envisage.
The impact of such surgery is holistic and can be life-changing.
In our pre-surgery meeting, I will show you the implants and we will adjustment them to your requirements.
Before surgery I will ask you to undergo some basic blood tests, an ECG and chest x-ray.
These tests will be customized according to your age and state of health. In addition, an ultrasound and mammography are required.
It is recommended to stop smoking prior to surgery.
Information is required about your medical history and regular or temporary medications.
It is particularly important to report on dietary supplements that you are taking on a regular basis such as Omega 3 or fish oil that affect blood clotting times.
Breast augmentation is performed under anesthesia, depending on the type of surgery and your health condition.
During the operation, I create a “pocket” into which the implant is inserted. The pocket is located under the breast or under the pectoral muscle, depending on the decision made with you prior to the operation.
The incision can be made in the following places:
Periareolar incision – the junction of the pigmented areolar skin
Inframammary crease incision – inside the fold of skin that connects with the breast.
Trans-axillary – in the armpit – suitable for specific cases only.
Silicone gel implants are inserted, which cosmetically results in the closest resemblance to a natural breast. The size of the implants ranges from 150 cc to 700 cc.
The shape of the implant, the profile and its size are determined individually according to your body structure, chest, breasts, and your personal desire. Each surgery is individually tailored to the patient’s wishes and aspirations.
All measures are taken to reduce infection.
Congratulations! You DID it!……. . I promise you that the discomfort subsides and usually resolves after one week.
The perception of pain is individual and varies from person to person…. some women do not experience any pain after this procedure.
You may feel discomfort when you raise your arms above shoulder height. In general, after surgery your breasts may be hypersensitive, or alternatively, there will be a decrease in sensation.
During recovery you will be required to wear a special bra that is worn 24 hours a day and for 6 weeks.
You may then sleep without a bra.
Approximately a month after the operation, it is possible and important to wear a supportive bra regularly (not a sports bra).
The result of the surgery is immediate! You have new breasts. In contrast to other surgeries that require recovery time until the desired result is obtained, this procedure allows you to immediately enjoy the result. Both breasts are symmetrical and in proportion.
Silicone implants or fat injections can also be used in breast reconstruction following mastectomy.
Avoid sport activities for three to six weeks after surgery and consider possible breast tenderness.
It is recommended to rest for a week after the operation, due to weakness and fatigue and if you need more time, listen to your body and rest longer.
